According to ZAR Online, Timbaland will be heading to Africa for a 4 date mini tour to help celebrate their birthday. They have so far announced 3 other acts set to appear along with Timbaland at the end of May in South Africa and Zimbabwe: Ciara, Lil Kim, & Fat Joe. More details are expected to be announced next month.

Last night at the ZAR Online launch, we announced that Timbaland will be touring the country with us to celebrate our birthday at the end of May.

Kenny also let slip that there will be host of great stars performing with him. These include Ciara, Fat Joe and Lil’ Kim. So get your lighters ready.

We’ll confirm more later.

These artists have been drawn by positive publicity about ZAR and the joys of touring in SA. They, together with Timbaland, the multi-award winning super-producer and ground-breaking solo artist, have been in talks with ZAR Empire to do a four show tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe, starting at the end of May. They’ve agreed to spend a week in Mzansi.

So, instead of the usual whirlwind tour, they will be spending time with the ZAR family to get to know the country and its people and rock us all in Johannesburg, Durban, Nelspruit and Harare. Other venues may be added.

The New Yorker has described Timbaland as the most important producer of the past decade.

Tickets go on sale in May.

Ciara’s going to continue doing small venues like these I heard untill late summer / fall. Her new single is supposed to be released around that time. I’m not sure what part of Universal she’s been signed to, but she’s definitely on either Interscope or Island Def Jam. Really can’t wait for her to make a come back!
