Ciara’s highly anticipated film , Mama, I Want To Sing, is being shown at the 2nd Annual Faith Film Festival in Mzansi. Several different films will be shown at the festival during July 23rd to the 29th, all of which are uplifting and inspirational. Mama, I Want To Sing is being shown tomorrow. According to Nu Metro Inspires, the movie will be sent to cinemas after the festival.
A heart warming story that all ages will enjoy, MAMA, I WANT TO SING reminds us all not to be afraid to dance to our own music. From the off-Broadway play, a preacher’s daughter is on the verge of pop stardom. After the untimely death of her father enforces stronger family bonds, Amara (Ciara) is launched into the limelight, as her love for pop music collides with her loyalty to the church.

Movie summary:
Drama, Family, Musical – Friday 23rd July. Cast: Ciara, Lynn Whitfield, Patti LaBelle, Juanita Bynum, Hill Harper, Billy Zane, Ben Vereen. Amara Winter, a strikingly beautiful and charismatic young singer, is on the verge of pop stardom. Raised in the church by her father, the Reverend Dr. Kenneth Winter, and mother, Lillian, Amara and her younger brother, Luke, have a very strong bond. After their father’s untimely death, Amara’s mother is thrust into the limelight in the role as preacher, a daring move that catapults her to the top of the gospel world. Paralleling her mother’s success, Amara soon becomes a huge star in her own right, taking the pop music world by storm. Conflict begins to ensue when her mother is confronted with and unequivocally disapproves of Amara’s secular music and videos. Amara must learn to pursue her dreams while both navigating the often treacherous world of celebrity and striving to remain true to herself and family. When tragedy strikes again, Amara and her mother must work through their differences and their grief, realising that their journeys are not so different after all. Presented by BET Networks, the highly-anticipated musical starring R&B superstarCiara and Emmy Award winner Lynn Whitfield will screen on Sept. 26 in the heart at the AMC Loews 34th Street in New York City.
